There are group courses offered with a maximum of only eight participants. Courses are progressive and absolute beginners should begin on the starting dates of the program while those who are of higher levels can join a group anytime there are vacancies available. The groups are strictly kept at a specific size of eight persons in order for them to be monitored and assessed by the teachers continually and personally. If you would choose an individual or private group course, the courses will be planned according to your specific requests and may include cultural and professional themes if you want. You may bring any kind of documentation you may need to work on. A combination of individual and group courses can also be availed in the ESL Portuguese language school. You can have your group course in the morning and your individual session with your teacher in the afternoon. Non-intensive courses for foreigners living in Portugal who want to learn the Portuguese language at their own pace are also available for two hours a day, two times a week.
Individuals or private groups can benefit from courses in Portuguese for special purposes. Students will be taught the written and spoken language while exploring a specific field such as business, law, medicine, banking, translation or interpreting. Native and non-native teachers who teach Portuguese as a Foreign Language in private or public institutions are also welcome to the Teacher’s Training course. Mini-courses are available in the ESL Portuguese language school for those who would like to obtain a deeper knowledge of some certain aspects of Portugal or the Portuguese-speaking world.
