STANDARD ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE

The Standard Course is held throughout the year on 6 (monthly) levels of ability. Duration: 2 to 24 weeks. The 4 lessons are held daily from Monday to Friday, usually beginning at 9am. If there are many participants the Standard Course may also be held in the afternoon at 2pm. There is a maximum of 12 students in each class.

INTENSIVE ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE - FLORENCE ONLY

The Intensive Course consists of 4 lessons Standard Course per day in the morning and 2 extra lessons of group language course in the afternoon. In the afternoon session students have the opportunity to increase their knowledge with practice in speaking and conversing. This course is held only in Florence.

INTENSIVE ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE "PLUS" 5 & 10

The The Intensive Plus Course consists of the Standard Course Plus additional private lessons (one-to-one). The individual lessons are specifically designed for your specific needs. We offer two kind of Intensive Plus Courses:

  • Intensive Plus-5 Course: 20 lessons of Standard course + 5 additional lessons of Private tutorial per week;
  • Intensive Plus-10 Course: 20 lessons of Standard course + 10 lessons of Private tutorial per week.

Lessons: 4 lessons of group language course plus 1 or 2 lessons of private tuition per day, 25 or 30 per week
Tuition: on all 6 (monthly) ability levels

SMALL GROUP INTENSIVE ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE (ONLY FLORENCE)

For students who want to learn quickly and intensively in a small group, or wish to increase their knowledge, the Small Group Intensive Course is tailor-made for their needs. Together with no more than 5 participants they will have 6 hours of daily intensive language course.

Duration: from 2 to 12 weeks
Lessons: 6 per day, 30 per week
Tuition: on all 6 (monthly) ability levels
Class size: small groups of 2 to 6 participants

ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE COURSE "ITALY TODAY"

For students who want to learn Italian and at the same time become acquainted with the culture and history and the current social and political situation of their host country, we suggest to choose the "Italy Today" Course. In addition to the 4 lessons Standard Course in the morning, in the afternoon they will be introduced to art and culture, history and folklore, press and films as well as the current political and economical situation of Italy. The cultural part of this course consists in 10 supplementary lessons in two weeks.

Class size: minimum 4 participants for the cultural part

LONG-TERM STANDARD COURSE

Students wishing to study Italian for longer periods are especially welcome at our schools and receive special care and attention from our staff, as well as benefiting from our long-term discounted prices. With this course, students profit from all the advantages of learning a language in the country where it is spoken. Through our experience in teaching the Italian language, we know that the ideal minimum stay for a course is 12 weeks. Not only you will have more confidence in your language skills, but instead of feeling like you are on holiday, you will be completely immersed in the Italian culture and way of life. Many of our long-terms students are preparing to enter university or rounding off their Italian Long-Term Standard Course with the recognised AIL "Firenze" examination.

Examination Courses "Firenze"

Our schools are recognized examination centres of the Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL), and we organize preparatory courses for the different Italian examinations "Firenze" of the AIL. We organize different courses (Standard courses combined with specific Preparatory courses) for beginners as well as advanced students.

The duration of the courses varies from 4 to 24 weeks, depending on your knowledge of the Italian language:

  • DELI - Diploma "Firenze", basic level (elp: A1/A2 - s/n: N3)*: At the end of the 1st ability level; exams 4 times a year.
  • DILI - Diploma "Firenze", intermediate level (elp: B1 - s/n: N6)*: At the end of the 3rd ability level; max. 3 months preparation for beginners; exams 4 times a year.
  • DALI - Diploma "Firenze", advanced level (elp: B2/C1 - s/n: N9)*: At the end of the 6th ability level; max. 6 months preparation for beginners; exams twice a year.
  • DALC - Diploma "Firenze" of Business language, advanced level (elp: B2/C1- s/n: N9)*:At the end of the 6th ability level; max. 6 months preparation for beginners, including business and commerce course; exams twice a year.

The specific preparatory courses always start one month before the examination dates and consist daily of 4 lessons of grammar review and conversation in the morning plus 2 lessons of test taking strategies and examination drills in the afternoon. On request we can send you our entry test to check your knowledge of the language and to establish the time necessary to prepare yourself for the different exams.
